Teacher's Name: Mrs. Kathleen Buckley
Grade/Subject: Third Grade
We're off to a great start! Students have been working diligently as they transition into third grade and I could not be more proud of them...a wonderful class family we are forming!
As we move into October, students will be working on their at-home book report and an in-school book recommendation. We hope to build a great list developed by students to help fuel a love of reading in every child. Please be mindful of the due dates on the take-home book report. In math, we are working on our addition and subtraction (chapter 2) as we prepare to begin multiplication in chapter 3...very exciting times to be a math student in 3rd grade! Weather and climate has been our focus in science with students. They are creating a science interactive notebook in conjunction with our school's STREAM initiative. Many exciting things are happening in Room 205!
As Halloween approaches, I will be sending home information regarding our classroom celebration. Please keep in mind that due to food allergies, all treats must be store-purchased and NUT FREE. Thank you for considering the safety of our class!
The following is the weekly listing of our specials:
Monday: Gym--please be sure your child to pack gym clothes.
Tuesday: Library--please be sure your child returns borrowed library books.
Thursday: Music--please remind your child to bring his/her book and recorder.
