Stay Awake! Be Ready! The Lord is Coming Soon!

"Each of us is an innkeeper who decides if there is room for Jesus." -Neal A Maxwell

Each month, I will update this webpage with a brief overview of what we will be learning in each of our subject areas.  If you every have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Religion - As the Season of Advent is upon us, we will be discussing how we can prepare our hearts, our homes, and our minds for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. We will spend time this month learning about the tradition of the Jesse Tree and will make our own Jesse Tree.

Science - In the month of December, we will be learning about Rocks and Minerals!

Social Studies - We just finished our study of early civilizations in the Americas and European Explorers "discovering" America. Challenge your child to tell you the three reasons why explorers explored! (God, Gold, and Glory)

Reading - This month, we will do our second novel study of Hound Dog True by Linda Urban.

ELA - We will continue to work on Grammar Workshop and develop our reading response essays on our weekly story tests.
