Math 6

Students in 6th grade just finished learning how to convert between measurements, as well as multiply and dividing fractions. In the next chapter, students will learn about integers and coordinate planes. They will be apply to graph, compare, and order integers, and be able to determine if a decimal is terminating or repeating. At the end of the chapter students will graph points on a coordinate plane. 

After learning about coordinate planes, students will complete a STREAM activity, Ghostblasters!

Religion 6

As we begin the Advent season, students will learn the importance of Advent and the real meaning of Christmas. One of the activities students will complete is a Jesse tree. The 6th graders will retell their bible story to 1st graders, and then create an ornament, with them, for the Jesse tree.

Math 7

The students in 7th grade just finished learning about integers. In the next chapter, students will work with algebraic expressions. Within this chapter, students will learn about sequences, algebraic, and linear expressions. Students will use their understanding of expressions to add, subtract, and factor expressions in real-world problems.

In the next chapter, students will apply their understanding of expressions to solve algebraic equations.
