Math 6

Students in 6th grade just finished learning how to solve expressions. They are now completing a 21st Century Project entitled Ancient Numbers. Students will use their knowledge of solving expressions to compute problems using numbers written in Greek, Roman, Babylonian, and so much more. After February break, we will start learning how to solve equations and apply them to real-world problems.

Religion 6

Students will understand the meaning gratitude and generosity, in order to complete their next project. In the Project Based Learning activity, entitled Planning a Community for the Homeless, students will research the different causes and effects of homelessness, and create their own community for the homeless. Students will also understand the word prejudice, "pre-judge," by creating paper plate portraits.
