It was so nice to meet you at our Parent Teacher Conferences in October.  Your children have been hard at work here in third grade!  Did they tell you they used the Engineering Design Loop to create pumpkin catapults?  We also spent some time getting our Chromebooks up and running!  We are exploring Math In My World, and the kids are loving it!  The students are having a great time incorporating technology into our day.

November us upon us, and what a busy month it will be.  Your children are sure to become outstanding super sleuths as we explore Whodunnit? activities that focus on rounding, adding, and subtracting skills.  We will be having a school-wide Reveal Night on Thursday, November 15th, from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M.  We will be heading to the Book Fair this month on the week of the 25th as well.  I'll bet your son/daughter has a long list of new and exciting books they'd like to read as they have been very busy in our Reader's Workshop.

The genre for the November Book Report is Historical Fiction.  Your child was given written instructions, the Historical Fiction Book Report sheet, and the cover sheet to design a book cover.  It is due by Tuesday, November 20th!  Happy Reading!

  • Check your child's planner and take home folder daily to make sure he/she comes to school prepared with homework, books, notes, lunch money, etc.  Occasionally, I may write notes to you in the planner.
  • If your child has been absent, please send a note to school on the day your child returns.  Work can be picked up outside of the office at the end of the day.
