Happy October! We read about St. Therese of Liseux, and are practicing making small sacrifices and acts of love for Jesus just like she did this month. We also are learning more about the rosary as it is the month of the rosary.
Here's what else we're busy with this month:
Reading: Continuing in our Superkids Reading Program, finishing our SUPER Magazine issue What's New, and starting our first book clubs!
Math: We are finishing a review of subtraction concepts, and then will be getting into two-step word problems, skip counting, and repeated addition with arrays. Remember to log in to First in Math at home to practice your math facts!
Religion: Our Virtue of the Month is reverence: Showing deep respect for God and the things of God. Then we will be learning about Adam and Eve and making good choices.
Writing: We are finishing up our Unit on Narrative Writing (our Small Moments)!
Science: We are learning more and more about matter! This month, we are exploring the states of matter through various experiments, including an Oobleck experiment, Dancing Raisins activity, and Gummy Bear lab!
